I had the honor of working on this amazing VR game called LONE ECHO when I was Art Lead for the Ui efforts at Ready at Dawn. I was responsible for the Visual ID of external facing pieces, logos and such and of course make Ui art for the game, which we had amazing collaborators such as Ash Thorp and Bruno William. This was one of my favorite projects ever!
My core work at Ready at Dawn was to lead the ui efforts for LONE ECHO, mostly creating Ui concepts and developing the Visual ID and tone for external facing materials of the single player game, including the logo, which I had a blast making it in partnership with Mike Sekowski and Dimitri Neron.
When I joined the team the lovely Ash Thorp was just finishing his work on some beautiful Ui concepts for the game, and they greatly helped to set the tone for Ui elements to come. Unfortunately some of those beautiful concepts didn’t work well on VR space, so I took as a personal challenge to try to use them and make new concepts following Ash’s ui art motives as much as possible.
My job as Ui Art Lead at Ready at Dawn consisted on 4 things:
Major thanks to the Art Director Nathan Phail-Liff which used to sit right next to me for the entire time I worked at RAD, and as a major fan of his work on The Order: 1886, having him almost as a personal art-director was a priviledge. Great guy and major talent.
